Amaretto Glazed Ham

Serves: 20+
  • 1 9-10 lb spiral sliced ham
  • ⅓ cup Amaretto
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz can crushed pineapple with juice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Take ham out of the refrigerator 1 - 2 hours before cooking so that it will get to room temperature. Leave in original packaging.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  3. Unwrap ham and place it cut side down along with with liquid into a baking dish. Don't forget to remove the little plastic disk on the ham bone.
  4. Cover with tin foil and bake for approximately 1 hour.
  5. While ham is cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing the next 4 ingredients together in a small bowl.
  6. Once ham has cooked for a hour, remove from oven and pour half of the sauce over the ham.
  7. Place back into the oven and cook for another 30 - 40 minutes. (Total cooking time is 10 minutes per pound of the ham). Baste ham with pan drippings every 15 or so minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes.
  9. Serve ham on serving platter and spoon remaining sauce over the top.
You should be eating about 3 - 4 ounces at a time. Calculated out, that actually comes to about 30 servings but I took some out for the ham bone and fat which will be trimmed.
