I originally had a similar ham a few years back at my favorite cousin, Harry’s, house. He’s a great cook and he made this by mixing Amaretto with the packet of stuff that comes with spiral sliced hams and it was delicious. I believe that we had it for Christmas dinner. I loved it so much and made it the same way for awhile. Then I started to get a little more healthy and wanted to know what went into my foods. Since I have no idea what is in the flavor packets that come with the spiral sliced hams, I made my own sauce simply using pineapple, brown sugar, cinnamon and of course the Amaretto.
My family loves this ham and if you are a ham lover, you will too. I made a video to help you out and it’s only my second video so bare with me! 🙂

Ingridients:
- 1 9-10 lb spiral sliced ham
- 1/3 cup Amaretto
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 8 oz can crushed pineapple with juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
Take ham out of the refrigerator 1 – 2 hours before cooking so that it will get to room temperature. Leave in original packaging.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Unwrap ham and place it cut side down along with with liquid into a baking dish. Don’t forget to remove the little plastic disk on the ham bone.
Cover with tin foil and bake for approximately 1 hour.

Once ham has cooked for a hour, remove from oven and pour half of the sauce over the ham.
Place back into the oven and cook for another 30 – 40 minutes. (Total cooking time is 10 minutes per pound of the ham). Baste ham with pan drippings every 15 or so minutes.
