Hi! My name is Donna Anthony and I’ve been battling with my weight for many years now. Up and down and down and up it goes. Now I’m trying to get healthy for life and have eliminated processed foods from my families diet and mine. We cook with whole, clean foods now unless something is completely unavailable and rarely eat anything processed. Doing this is a process that starts by cleaning out your pantry and removing everything and anything that has ingredients that you can’t pronounce!
We’ve also reduced the amount of sugar in our diets. Most processed foods come packed with sugars. Not the natural sugars that are found in foods like fruit and vegetables but sugar that is put there by the manufacturer to make the food taste better. We are loosely following Dr. Mark Hyman’s philosophy on eating healthy.
I am married and I have two sons. My husband proudly serves our country in the US Navy. My eldest son, currently 30, is also in the US Navy and my little “surprise” is just 9 years old and lives at home with my husband and I. During the day, I homeschool my 9 year old and of course take care of the house and in the evening I like to cook and convert recipes to something more diet friendly.
